Here I want to share a Low Power Audio Amplifier circuit built with LM386 IC which you can connect to a PC or mobile phone using 3.5mm headphone jack.
The low power LM386 audio amplifier was tested on breadboard.

If you want you can add a LED indicator. Just use a LED and resistor in series between the power supply and ground. Here I used +5V DC power supply. This is for single channel audio signal from a PC and mobile phone.

If you want to amplify sound from microphone then use an op-amp like LM358 op-amp. This was shown in the blog post Powerful Audio Amplifier with LM741 and LM386.
